Default navigation for the in-cubby lcd?

I was looking into the 2-din in-dash navi units but believe the screen might be a bit too low for me to view comfortably so I was thinking about going the lcd in the cubby route. The Fahrenheit screen mod is popular around here, my question is what HU/external device can display nav info to that screen? I was hoping to NOT go the car-pc route... any other options?

I'm leaning towards something a bit more integrated and simplified than a pc, like the DOTN120 but that's all I came up with thus far and would like to see if there are other options, perhaps an in-dash nav capable receiver that displays to a remote screen? I have yet to find one, however...
