So i intalled my old 10w3d4 2 10s in a sealed enclosure i had that i got to fit behind the strut bar angled up. Its just temporary i already had this stuff laying around. I also have 2 12" w6 but need to get a good box for them. But anyway these 2 10s w3d4s arent hitten nearly as hard as i remember. There running off a jl e1800d 1000watts @2ohm and 500@4ohm. The subs are wired at 4ohm. Those subs should handle 600watts with ease. But it doesnt hit nearly as hard as i remember with the same amp and subs. It also if i turn it up really loud the speakers start to pop i also hear a tiny rattle from one. But I inspected them before i put them in there old but they shouldnt be blown they were never over drived. But im totally unhappy. I mean it sounds clean and clear but it doesnt hit hard liek i remember. I mean i remember my vision blurring when these things were turned up. From what i been reading the box seems a little leaky that could be the problem or nto enough air space.

i was gunna buy a zenclosure box for it but i wanted to see if it would satifsy me before i invest money into them. But from the looks i think im gunna get the 2 12" zenclosure box. And im gunna get another jl e1800d and run one to each 12w6 on 2ohm. I would just use my one amp cause it puts enough rms at 2ohm. But its not 1ohm stable and 12w6 d4 can only be wired in a 4ohm load or 1ohm load. Its funny caue my cousin has 1 12" w3d4 and hes only pushing like 300watt rms and there alot louder my tens that are running from a jl amp with about 300more watts going to them.

Determine the internal volume of your box and run the Thiel-Small parameters of your subwoofer. Adjust the internal volume of your box for something like a Qts of 1.4 or higher. I'm guessing that you're looking for amplitude vice accuracy. Your box has to be 101% air tight - a perfect enclosure or else it's not a sealed box and the woofers aren't under control.

i must be a noob or something but whats "Thiel-Small parameters " ? How would i adjust the airspace? By adding poly fill. Also how can i check the volume of my enclosure im not sure what it is. I checked to find the leaks there coming from some of the screw holes it seems. How can i seal it up air tight silicone? Thnx sry to be a such a noob

The only thing thats different is the enclosure the other one i had them in was extremly leaky and it stil bangged really hard. The one i have them in now is newer it orginally had some cheap 10" subs in it. i took them out and popped in the w3s. i was able to wedge the box in behind the strut bar angled up it. Doesnt look all that bad either like that. But the old box was deeper i beileve but it was leaky. This new box is not as deep and 3 screws holes leak air cause there like stripped. And if i try to crank it up to max the subs start popping like im pushing to much power to them. But 500rms on 2
w3s isnt over driven at all.

Forgot to mention one thing orignally i thought my amp was 1ohm stable so on the old setup i had them wired for 1 ohm. And it worked unless i turned it really really loud then it would clip and go into protect mode. But now its wired correctly no clipping but doenst bang .

It used to be so loud in my old car it would out perform most peopls 12's and 15's no joke. It was serious for 2 miesly 10's people would think i had liek 4 12's lol. I remember the rear view mirror would point straight to the floor if i turned it up to loud lol. But then i bought 2 12" w6v2 d4 and then traded my pontiac and bought my 350z. And couldnt fit the twelves in plus i need another amp to push them properly
