That first step in the tutorial to remove that flat armrest part of the door....I can get the back of it unclipped just by lifting up but the rest of it isn't budging and I'm not about to force it until it breaks.

I assume that this piece needs to be removed in order to remove the power window main switch finisher?

How the heck do you get this panel off?

Well, I figured it out. 2006 owners, don't complete the first step of the older tutorial and try to remove that flat armrest part of the door. You can fit some interior trim removal tools into the gap between that and the power window switch finisher and just pry it up lightly. Comes right off with a little prying.

 

Ok, more detail here please... I got the driver's side off, but the passenger side I can't get the piece off around the handle. Just like everything else on this install, of course I run into some obstacle.

 

what piece are you refering to around the handle? There is a little black plastic finisher you remove when pulling the handle open. just pops right out.

or are you refering to the silver piece thats in the middle of the Oh **** bar? just use a flat head screw driver.

that also just pops right off.
