I finally got my Eclipse AVN installed but the speaker system sucks and I want to upgrade that as well.

I would like to purchase a 10 inch sub (I already have the box) and replace all the speakers in the car. My question is this:

1. How many speakers are there in the Nissan and what size do i need to purchase.

2. I am an audio dummy and need a mid range subwoofer, amp and speakers to purchase.

I thought it was 6.5 door and rear speakers.

A budget would help identify parts for you.

Looking to spend about 500-600 on just the speakers to include the subwoofer. Any opinions

 

I do not have any recommendations, haven't been an audiophile in a long time, but atleast now someone will have some info and be able to help you out. GL

 

the door midranges and rear coaxials are 6.5". The tweeters are in the sail panels of the doors.

ACES_OVER, what enclosure do you have and what are the specs (internal volume and is it sealed or ported)? What type of music do you listen to? Are you after sound quality or do you just want your system loud? This info is needed in order to make a good recommendation.

Components all sound different, I would recommend listening to a bunch of different sets in a car (preferably in a Z), if this isn't possible then try to at least go to an audio shop and listen to them in a listening room. This will give you an idea of what sound YOU like (bright or warm highs, punchy or smooth bass, etc.). I can tell you what I like but you might think it sounds like poo poo.

you only need front components and subwoofer with a Z
