wood thickness
Does anyone have a table that lists the minimum wood thickness recommended for different size subs and different amounts of power?
Since our trunk is small, and the strut bar is only approx. 11 inches tall, I was wondering if 5/8" MDF would be thick enough for a 10" woofer with 250 watts. And how much watts (max) would a 5/8" thick box be able to handle?
Thanks,

IMO as long as the box is built strong enough you could actually go with 1/2". It saves on weight and is plenty strong enough. I add a little bit of poly stuffing to make sure the sound quality is good though.

But for the OP's 250 watt sub stage 1/2" would probably be fine, but why not just go for the 5/8". I will make a suggestion to the OP that the front baffle that the sub(s) mount to should always be 3/4" MDF regardless of what the rest of the box is constructed of. This is of course my opinion.
use 3/4". it won't make much difference on the ability to fit your sub, won't make much difference in internal air space, will offer much more rigidity/less flex, provide you more surface area to screw/glue to and last longer. if not concerned with any of the above, i'd use 1/2" mdf.
