What is the best dash kit for the Alpine CDA-7897 headunit, I tried using the metra kit but could not get it to fit right. Any sugesstion or help. Let me know whoever owns the CDA-7897 as well. Thanks guys!

 

I had this head unit in my car with the metra kit. The trick is to use the ISO mounts and not the cage mounts. But, i didn't like the way the ISO mounts worked, so i built a spacer to push out the headunit from the kit. That worked much better and seemed to be more stable. Either way will work though...

I later swapped it out for a pioneer dvd player. The **** on the alpine stopped working. It's getting repaired now and will be sold soon.
