G-Tech Pro Compeitiion
I tried this when it first came out as a Beta Tester. The latest model with the PC hook up and the new design.
I rmember it taking about an hour to fill in all these lines to calibrate. The software and even the unit was still Beta at the time.
I had a 350+ to the rear wheel FireHawk and it gave me 200 RWHP and like 250 TQ with a High Stall Yank TC after 3 recalibrations and 4 runs and I returned it.
Hvae they gotten any more accurate since then?
This was several several months ago.
Anyone?

I don't think that the HP and TQE are accurate, but the 1/4 mile and 0-60 are decent representations when compared to itself. WE used a G-Tech (the older model) at the track and it ran consistent .2 faster and 2 mph higher. Almost exactly each time.
As far as the new one is concerned, A friend has that and it seemed to have the same accuracy but from what I have read about the HP and TQ, they never seemed too accurate.

We used the older G-Tech at the track when we were running and it was consistently .2 seconds and 2 mph off. I think it is a good tool to use to determine if mods worked or not as long as you use it ALL the time and have a good idea what your runs get you. If you run once and get a 14.5 and then put exhaust on and then run a 13.9, I wouldn't say you gained 60 hp, just that you had a bad launch the first time. But if you ran 100 14.0's and never any faster and now you can run consistent 13.8's, then I would say you did a decent mod.
As far as the Hp and Tq are concerned, I wouldn't believe what it tells me. There are so many more variables that are involved with that. Whenever people post them, they are usually totally off anyway. I would use it for the 1/4 mile and the 0-60 and that is about it.

Hmm, is anyone else having these problems? Whenever I try and post, I get an error screen, then i go back, re-type it and then re-post and it works. Sometimes it posts and sometimes it doesn't as in this situation.
Yeah it's some sort of data base problem.
I think (and this is just my opinion) they are trying to fix the database w/o losing the data.
IOW, not losing our old posts, logins and everything else involved in the database.
But to answer your question yeah there is a thread on these problems and I'm quite sure Victor is trying his best to get it fixed.
It's SQL with probably some scrip problems involved.
My question to Victor and others would be.
1. What was the last thing changed prior to these errors occuring (back tracking.)
2. Does disabling HTML help?
3. Do you need any help? My wife is a DBA and SQL specialist.
