Default AVIC D3 to work perfectly with bose components?

from my search, it seems that you have to bypass the bose system to make the avic d3 work perfect with the bose speakers.

but then in some posts, they mentioned one should replace the speakers?

just curious, how many speakers need replacing (just the rears) and what kind is recommended that is more superior to the original bose?

thanks for any help!

You don't need to bypass anything if you choose to use the bose system, all you would need is an harness(cheap way) or get a pac-oem2 adapter to make it work perfectly with the Bose system.

However, if you get rid of the bose system, you will need to replace front(6.5" components) rear (6.5" coaxials), D3 won't work directly with the speakers due to the bose speakers have a lower impedence than the d3 can handle...

I have a D3 and use the stock bose speakers, however, I notice a hiss and overall bad quality from the speakers.

So, I will have to replace the front and rear but what about the subwoofer? Will the OP still be able to use his factory sub?

The hiss will remain unless you get the adapter, but if you remove one aspect of the bose you will have to replace all off it (the sub is garbage anyways)...

question:
if your going to use the bose speakers but replace the amp with the avic d3, is a bose bypass necessary?

I have the bose and Used the T-7551 and bottom line no hiss and worked fine. But my volume doesn't get loud. So its a level issue. It's like my system gets kinda loud. But its clear. I was told you don't have to replace the system. You just have to get the Pac OEM adapter. Or another adapter I am getting put in Monday I iwll let you guys know.

hey guys get the pac-oem adapter. it works perfectly! no worrying about low sound levels. i just installed it a week ago and have had NO problems. i heard the unit costs about 60-80 bucks though, but i honestly dont think you should take the cheap way out.

the only problem is that the unit is pretty hard to stick back in along with the a/c box. you have almost NO space to work with.

Wouldn't you also need to replace the amplifier? I know the Bose system has an 8Ω resistance and most aftermarket components are either 2Ω or 4Ω thus causing the impedance issues you speak of.

Here is a link to the PAC-OEM2 you mentioned..

You could also use the SVEN4/SVHNI2 combo from this website..

Either of the above works. Obviously, I would go with new speakers & amplifier myself

I just picked up the Avic-D3 via Crutchfield. This is what was included;

- Nissan 350Z Kit 2003-up <~ Link
- Nissan/Infiniti Wire Harness A Amplifier Integration <~ Link

Do I still need this "PAC-OEM2" or "SVEN4/SVHNI2"???

I think you still might. The OEM level adapter I recieved (non Pac) was the only thing that worked the best. When they attempted to intigrate it. It worked but not as well
