Not crazy about the look of the Metra kit, so instead of putting the dvd player in one of the rear mailbox slots I'd like to put it in the dash. Anyone know of a decent single din player that's not ridiculously overpriced? The only ones I could find around $200 were the Pyle PLDVD99 and PLDVD150. Are these decent players? Any other suggestions?

 

powerz clarion have a single din DVD player, VS735 or VS715.....depending on different markets its sold in. I saw it on carmedia1.com for $299. Check it out, it looks alot better than the Pyle one, its black with blue display, flip down face. Im also pretty confident its a stand alone, so u can hook it up to non-clarion hardware. Alpine also sell a single din DVD player for $799. Id like to know what the difference is here too????

 

Clarion's 935 is way nicer, and pretty much made for the Z -- that's the project car they installed it on.

 

The 935 is a headunit with a flip-out screen. I already have a headunit and am looking for a single din slave dvd drive. Here's a pic of the Pyle.

 

i have a alpine 5200 dvd player for sale. i used it in is300 that was just used for carshows. paind 899 a year ago letting it go for 400 shipped, also have a alpine mp3 changer if ur interested in that too

 

i just got my 7 inch lcd screen, tv tuner and dvd plyer (single DIN sized and will be custom fabricared...the new kenwood headunit and dvd player will be in the stock head unit spot.

well...i got the dvd player, the tv tuner and the lcd screen....yea, 300 bucks brand new!

keeping names hush hush till the fabrication is done....then it will all be revealed!!!

I got a Boss DVD 2000 for my Spec V for only $145 shippped from www.ikesound.com ... it's a great product with excellent sound and picture!

It plays cd, dvd, mp3, cdr/cdrw, and you can burn mpeg movies onto a cdr and play those as well!
