Default Sub and rear speakers installation

I am planning on a sub and couple new rear speakers...will match them with Rockford 301X (I bridge and couple other channels to the rears..)
I have few questions hope you can help,

1. What is a recommended sub (under $100)... Should I buy free air?
2. I would like to use the factory space? I saw the metal bracket, should I use in there this dynamat thing?
3. How do you take off the rear speakers grill? for installation?
4. Where is the best place to put the amp? and where do you get the ground for it from..
Thanks!

Number 1 depends on number 2. If you are going to use the factory sub location, and are planning on using the factory mounting plate without any further modification, you will need a free air sub. However, if you create a sealed (or as close as possible) factory location, using dynamat, you will need a regular sub - not a free air.

Default Rear speakers

Thanks guys, indeed great info is posted. I am still reading...
I was wondering, has anyone just replaced the rear speakers? how did it sound? is it true the rears are 32 ohm? If I decide to go with the Basslink I might want to eliminate the amp instal and keep 4 speakers with the HU but I must improve the rears... anyone?

Why not keep the factory rear speakers and replace the front speakers? Turn your fade more to the front and then add the sub. I would think this would give you better results for your money.

Default Rear speakers

Tonkagod,
You raise a point which I never thought about... I do not have a Bose system and my rear speakers will not play aything, they sounds like a broken radio from the 1940's.... I always thought that this is bcs these are a 32 ohm speakers that must be replaced, but maybe these are simply defective on my system?... When I put the fader on 0 I will not even hear the rears... I would say that overall they sound about 1/4 compared with the fronts...
Should I check them with the dealer?
