USA SPEC iPod interfacer (PA11-NIS)
I recently purchased and installed the PA11-NIS in my 2005 Nissan 350Z (non-Bose edition stereo). The iPod interface works great, but appears to be draining my car battery. I just got back from two weeks of travel (car sat the entire time) to find my car battery completely dead. The car was turned off and the iPod was NOT connected. This is the second time the car has gone dead after installing the iPod interface (and it never happened before that). I am sure that all interior lights, etc. were turned off.
Any ideas on what is going on? Does anyone know if that unit draws power even when the car is off?
Thanks for any help.

I installed a factory scosche iPod interface in a customers impala one time and he was having the same issue. We just had to take the wire that is supposed to receive constant power and connected it to an accessory source. Sometimes they have issues with this problem from the ones that I have seen. Connecting it this way only effects the ability to charge the iPod while the car is off. You could try connecting it this way, and if you still have the problem the issue is going to likely be something else in the vehicle.
