Default Subwoofer problem

Whenever i bought my car the sub in the back is not a stock one it's by some company called planetaudio that i have never heard of, it works like 1/4 of the time and sounds great when it does excellent bass, the other 3/4 of the time no sound comes out of it.

Should i just replace it or is their someway to fix the problem to make it work all the time?

Check that the amp is not cutting off.

have someone check your connections and/or amp before replacing it.

Back in the day, Planet had some good products. I wouldn't expect that in the past 8 years, their quality would have gone down. I would keep the speaker, and like the other guys said, check the amp. Also, if it's mounted in the stock Bose spot, tell me how it sounds. Any rattles or bad noise goin on when the speaker's working? Just curious...

nope no rattles or anything, the weird thing is the amp is mounted behind the passengers seat, which is broken( top part can't go up ) so i can't check it without moving my seat all the way up and seeing if it's working properly.
