Hey guys, need some input setting up my home theatre system. I came across a 300W Kenwood sub that I would like to add to my home theatre...this would make 2 subs - front and rear.

A couple issues...
1. I only have 1 sub output on the reciever, can I not just split the signal?

2. Also, this sub I want to use has only left/right "line in", no "mono/sub in" do I need to get another splitter for this or is it just fine to run the one coax to it using just the left or right channel?.

I hope this makes sense...

Use a Y adapter.

+1 on Y-adapter to split the signal to the 2 subs. If the plate amp on the new sub does not specify either left or right to be used for mono input, use another Y-adapter. Using the Y-adapters will reduce the input voltage to the plate amps, so you might have to tweak the gains up a bit, but adding another sub will typically increase your output by 3dB so you may be fine without tweaking up the gains.
