Here's my problem, I have installed the DNX-8120 and have checked every function twice and everything except video for the IPOD works great. I have extension cables for the IPOD and USB installed in the cubby behind the passenger seat. Thinking that the extension cables were the problem I hooked up the IPOD directly to the cables from the DNX-8120 and still got all functions of the IPOD, just will not show any video. I can hear the soundtrack from the video just no video. I am not very familiar with the IPOD so I tried several different ones, specifically 5th and 6th generations. Is there some setting or update I am missing?

 

Are you using the Kenwood KCA-iP300V? It should have a USB plug, a black audio plug and a yellow video plug. Also. What did you do with the green "parking brake" wire when you installed?

 

What Ipod are you using? The newer square nano will not play video on the Kenwood ipod control decks.

 

The 8120 works with all three generations of Nano.

 

Easy fix. You must touch the album art to get the video to play.

 

Yeah you're right, I was thinking of the 7100...
