I just got my DVD Navigation Disc from nissan...version 7.3

I popped it in and it loads with the map for my area and when I hit the map button it shows everything around me, but when I go to try and type in a destination it will only give me addresses from California. Is there something I need to adjust? The car is originally from Farmington, MI and I'm in Chicago, IL right now. I'm pretty sure the discs are area specific - am I wrong? Please help!

 

It is based off the area set as your home. When I was playing with mine I was typing in an Orlando address and it was giving me a location in Tennessee(car orginally came from there). Took me a minute to figure it out but it was basing it off the home location I believe. Without looking at the unit and playing around I am not sure how to tell you to change it....but it is based off a setting. The disc are for not area specific though.
