Default Silly question regarding aux input in '07 350Z

Hello,

I recently bought a '07 350Z Touring that has the stock 7-spkr Bose system.

the previous owner installed an auxillary input so I have a 3.5mm cable in the center console to hook up to a iPod or whatever. However, I'm not sure how to utilize the aux in. The HU doesn't have an aux button (that I can see) and I went through all the source inputs (am/fm/sirius/cd) but I still couldn't hear it.

Any suggestions?
(yes I realize it's a stupid question and I bought it from a dealer so i can't ask the previous owner)

I'm not sure what kind of hookup he may have put in there, but try hitting the CD button twice. I had a USA Spec unit and when you hit the CD twice, it thinks that it is the CD changer, then you can control the iPod. Just a shot in the dark.

I got all kinds of tidbits. Maybe that's why my ex-wife called me trivial.

Well the car already has a stock 6-disc CD changer in the head unit. The buttons are labelled "CD6" & "Radio".

I tried hitting the CD6 button twice but it didn't make a difference.

I didn't take a pic of the auxillary input, but it is pretty much a 3.5mm stereo wire popping out of the center console.
