Subwoofer and HU question.
The products i have consist of:
2 alpine type r swr-1022d subwoofers
Hifonics bxi 1208d 1200 watt amp
2 10'' Zenclosure with amp rack
Headunit is still undecided, Ideas on looks and quality ?
Alpines 1022d's are dual 2 ohm voice coils, Which to my understanding can be wired in series with eachother. whoever is familiar with the zenclosure knows it has 1 chamber per sub (so you cannot wire them with eachother dircetly). The only way is to wire the subs to the box terminals then wire them in series. Is this safe? Anyone know a better way?
Confusing concept. I am not very good with these audio things ill admit but id rather do the install myself just need clarifications, AND ideas on the headunit i should purchase.
ANY ideas welcome.

Also i know i will be getting 900 watts from my amp. I kind of wish i didnt get this particular one, BUT its too late and what do you guys expect my subs will sound like with 400 rms to each ?
Shall i go bigger

Your Hifonics amplifier has two sets of outputs for speakers, correct? It's also a mono block amplifier, right? If that's the case, wire the subwoofer voice coils in series (if you don't know how to do that, here is a wiring diagram courtesy of Stereo Integrity). Then hook up each subwoofer to a set of terminals on your amplifier. With twin dual 2 Ohm subwoofers your normal options for Ohm loads are a 2 Ohm load (series the coils of each subwoofer and then parallel the two subwoofers together), or a 0.5 Ohm load (subwoofer voice coils and the subwoofers themselves in parallel).
The good thing about mono block amplifiers is that even though they have four outputs (two sets of outputs, four total connections - two positive and two negative) the amplifier will parallel whatever you connect to it.
As per the question about more power, read this post about how much of a noticeable gain in output you will get from switching from 900 watts to 1200 watts.
Unless you're doubling your power, it's usually not worth it.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you need clarification on anything.

Is this the way to do it ?
Also My sub wire is blue and silver. Im thinking it doesent matter which one is positive or negative so is it safe to wire blue as negative because its closest to black ?
