V1 positioning

Default V1 positioning

Sorry, don't have a pic for you. I installed my V1 a little lower than above pics. It's centered on the windshield, just above the oil pressure guage. My power cable is run to the fuse box along the bottom of the windshield. The reason this positioning is because the V1 is capable of detecting through the rear of the car, but if it can't see through the rear window, it can't detect as effectively.

The higher it is, the better detection. When you put it down by the dash you are decreasing it's effective range. Trust me, it "sees" just fine up by the visors. If you put it there and go to the back of the car and duck down so your line of sight is parallel, you'll see your V-1 and if you can see it, it can see you!
