my installer suggested the following MTX components with the Pioneer AVIC 900 HU
Front sep........ TX6001
rear...............TDX6502
sub...............T5510-04
sub amp........300XD
4ch amp........504X

what do u guys think of this sys?!? I am not too crazy about the Pioneer AVIC 900, maybe a Z3? thoughts?

Since you're in the bay area, have you talked to Bing at Simpilicity In Sound? I'm sure he could suggest something in your price range.

 

you dont have to stay with all MTX. There amps are good, but there are better speakers out there. Just all depends on the money you want to spend

 

Thanks for the tips! I think i will check with Simplicity In Sound. Looks like he does pretty kool installs and he's done a few Z's. I wanted to make sure someone can put the car back together and still looks the same! ha!

 

MTX, IMO, similar to kicker, is nothing like what htey used to be, not bad stuff, but i think you can honetsly do much better overall

and as far as how many Zs i have done, roughly about 35 to 40, i lost count

 

You can't go wrong with JL subs. W6 or the W7 if you want to spend some money.
