Drilling Floor in Sub Area
I want to install my basslink in the stock sub area. I've seen another install on the board where it was 'hung' from the top - I can do that, but I'd prefer mounting on the floor because I drive pretty hard - I'd hate for that thing to get loose slinging my car left and right in an autocross or something.
I've heard the floor is dangerous to drill due to the location of the gas tank. Is this confirmed, or is there some space/layers of metal before getting to the tank?
Concerned, but wanting a super-solid install...

Another guy posted on this site a while back that he drilled two holes in the floor board and there was a 1" gap before the gas tank. I am in the same boat, my Basslink is just sitting in the compartment until I decide how to mount it. I also am curious how many people have drilled through the floor board an if it is risky.
