sub and amp problems
I've recently had a sub and amp installed, but the sound seems off. The sub is a single Image Dynamics ID 10", amp is an alpine mrp-m350, and sub is enclosed in a zenclosure box. The speakers and headunit are still the stock Bose.
Anyway, I just had the sub and amp installed, and the sub seems to really overpower the speakers, making the overall sound quality bad. I wouldn't say the bass is too loud, but things kind of sound out of sync in some way. I'm not really sure how to set up the amp settings so I set the gain, bass, etc to the middle mark, which I'm sure isn't optimal. The headunit settings are all set to default 0. I will be purchasing front components, as well as a kenwood ddx-7015 HU, which I'm hoping will balance out the system and sound.
Another problem I'm having, which I'm not sure is normal, but sometimes the sub creates a rumbling tone for a second or two, almost like a hum, which sounds really out of place in the songs. It seems to happen more often if I put the headunit volume lower, at around 8 or so.
The main problem I noticed is that the bass gets a lot louder when the car is stopped. Once I stop at red lights or stops signs, the bass gets moderately louder, but returns to normal when I start driving.
Anyone have any advice to remedy these problems? Sorry if the descriptions are bad, not really sure how else to describe them. Thanks.

You could try reversing polarity on the sub (swap the + and - wires around on the sub, this wont hurt your sub) this makes your sub cone suck in whall your other speakers cones are out (its a sound pressure thing) or turning the amp gain down abit, or both.
