I have an '04 with factory GPS. Unit worked fine until I had some unrelated work done and I'm trying to narrow possibilities. At startup, the GPS currently defaults to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). I live in Washington though and have to toggle thru the nav settings to adjust current location. The unit tracks fine once it's set. After I shut the car off, however, the unit will display LAX again the next time I start the car.

I assume LAX is some sort of default location the unit returns to when it gets lost?
Why can't my GPS recall its current location between operation cycles?
Is there a menu setting that allows me to assign a specific region?

 

Resolved....GPS antennea was unplugged.
