Navigation Start-up Screen
Hey Guys,
I have a 2007, 350ZR with the factory navigation system. My question is in regards to the “Start-up Page” of the navigation system. When the ignition is switched to ACC or ON, the typical disclaimer page that requires you to select “OK” appears, however the owner’s manual states the following action will happen when you start the car and the navigation unit is turned on.
INFO NOTE: “If you do not push <ENTER> for more that 30 seconds, the status screen will be displayed. Push <DEST>, <MAP>, <ROUTE>, <INFO>, <SETTING> or <TRIP> to return to the start-up screen”.
My unit will not respond until I hit "OK" to accept. Can anyone tell me if their unit will automatically proceed to the start-up page without hitting “OK”, or am i reading into this?
Thanks....

I don't think that it will start up untill you hot "OK". Reason for that is so "incase" you get into a car accident, you cannot place the blame on Nissan's navi system. It's pretty much so they can cover their own @ss. By you hitting "OK" you are waving the right to use the navi system as an excuse for a car accident.

I'm with you on the reason as too why it is there. I'm still trying to figure out what the owners manual is trying to tell me and to see if the "concent" screen goes away on anyone elses.
