A Pillar removal
I am in the process of (re)hard-wiring my Passport 8500 and decided to move it to the top of the window rather than right above the instrument gauges. I saw several posts on wiring various radar detectors up by the rear view mirror and they say to run the wires under the front of the headliner and then down the a pillar. My question is how do you get the headliner off (or at least get it moved enough to get the wire under it? Mine are ON THERE!! Any easy tips?

Just push the wire into the headliner gap with a credit card edge, across the A pillar cover to the door side of that plastic (at the headliner), then down the door side of the a pillar. No reason to remove any panels at all. I posted some pics with lines of where to run the wire in this thread.
Chris - Tap into the 12V at the Mirror - and Slip the Radar power wire under the head liner.
This works well, every startup yhe radar is on.
