I have trouble deciding between 2-10inch subs.
The brands are either the Kicker 06cvx10-4 or
Alpine SWX-10. I did search on youtube but subs sound like honda fartcans when you listen to the subs on youtube.

 

Listening to subwoofers on youtube is like watching a **** video and saying "I can almost FEEL it!" That's absolutely ridiculous. If I were you, I'd listen to them first hand and then determine which one YOU like better. All depends on your ears, too, don't forget.

 

I agree 100% and also look into some other brands other than Kicker and Alpine... read as much as possible on these forums and also check out diymobileaudio.com and caraudio.com/forum for user reviews on certain 10" subs...

What's the volume in cubic feet of your box and what do the Qtc figures come out to? Certainly you're not thinking of buying some random subwoofer and dropping it in a box to see what it sounds like right?
