Default Wiring up accessories...my setup

Hey all, just thought I would share this at the request of a few of my buddies with Z's. My Z is a base, so it didn't come with all that cool stuff most of you have like a homelink mirror, lighted/mirror sunvisors, aluminum pedals, etc...I couldn't afford an enthusiast at the time I bought my Z, but now is another story so instead of trading it in (I love my Z) I decided to upgrade everything and "convert" it into a touring model. I wired everything to two auxiliary fuse boxes that reside in the glove box behind the passenger seat, below the carpeted piece that is in there. One fusebox is for constant power (I have an inverter built in, lighted mirrors, and power seats) and a switched fusebox for everything else (seat heaters, navigation system, external screen, radar detector, PAC (for steering wheel radio controls) etc...). I used a standard auto relay for the switched box and ran the wire from the ACC lead on the back of the radio to control it. They are both wired directly to the battery (no strain on stock electrical system) and each use their own fuse. This also makes it extremely easy to add anything 12V to my system later, no matter if it needs constant or switched power. Everything is grounded underneath the plastic "cubby". So far it has worked great and everything is kept very clean. I'd be happy to answer questions if anyone has any!

The fuse boxes

Put the cover back on and you are back to stock!

Fuse diagram I made and put on the bottom of the carpeted cover

Nice work you did there, I like that diagram you made. The only suggestion that I have is to replace the fuseholder next to the battery with one that is designed to be outside. (water resistant) Even though it is mounted in a area that remains mostly dry the gold plating will more than likely begin to corrode over time.

Can you show us a picture of what the auto relay looks like?
