Amp for 2 Type R 10 inch Subs
I'm a newbie with mobile audio and everything. Can an expert or someone with experience with mobile audio tell me how many or which type of amp do I need to power up two Alpine Type R 10 inch subs.

I am using Alpine MRV-450 to power my 10" Type-R sub (the 5th channel), it's like 200watts. It sounds great!
So a JL 500/1 would work great for you.. you can also try the Alpine Class D amp...

So tricking the amp to see it as 2 ohms instead of 4?

Oh trust me, the jl 500/1 can push about 4 of those alpine subs easily. ALOT OF POWER. Extremely well built and great price. About hooking them up parallel, i had in my suv one jl500/1 hooked up parallel to three jl12w3. Heres an example of how to connect the subs parallel. THis was taking from JLaudios website but could be applied to most amps.
