Default In car camera

Im going to be running a car pc to run with my haltech EMS. I want to add 3 small cameras, One facing through the front, and one looking through the driver and pass side windows. I want it to record while the laptop is powered, so only when the car is on. I have a couple questions tho. How will I be able to connect the camera's to the laptop also what type of software is out there that can record the video that is being taken and then after a week or so have it deleted? Also what kind of camera do you reccomend?

high quality cameras are $$ if you want photo like quality. if your getting them for the sake of a digital witness in case of a crash or something then people have had good success with webcams or the sony cam for the ps3.

software.... no clue i would try mp3car-dot-com forums for that one. allot of carpc users over there

use the ps2 eye cam. its cheap and it have 60fps so its pretty darn clear for 20 bux. also you need to do some minor mods to get it working.

im currently using a software called CAPTURE! that can simultaneous record 2 webcam at a time.

both are plugged in by usb.
