We do some custom fabrication of suspension and exhaust parts, but I personally have a vast background in Audio Video and a LOT of fiberglass.
This would be a completely new piece that requires zero altering to the vehicle. It would screw right in to the factory holes and would replace the entire pocket and pocket door.
Would be abosutely seamless and appear to be factory. This would not be a housing, with a screen backmounted or flushed in. The screen housing actually gets fiberglassed into the housing, making it totally seamless.
Nice fine textured black finish and would be recessed into the dash and at the perfect viewing angle.
We could also make a piece that houses 3 or 4 gauges, 2 1/16". In the same configureation, and we could also recess each individual gauge so they are nice and flush, as opposed to surface mounting them.
Let me know if there is an interest.
We would use a high quality TFT active matrix monitor with wireless remote, and adjustments on the front (many screen REQUIRE the remote) The monitor would also have 2 video inputs. Most likely an Accele Electronics video monitor.
Target price in the $425 - $475 range including everything you need. Total install time of the physical mounting of the piece would only be about 10 minutes, maybe little more, maybe little less.
Remember this replaces the door, so there will be no pocket door. There will also be no gaps between this housing and the factory dash opening, it will look "factory"

I think though that I will be able to easily fabricate what you are looking for.
I am thinking also for a gauge panel that goes behind the pocket, like many of the LCD installs you see.
- (3) 2 1/16" gauges
- flush mounting of the gauges
- angled towards the driver, mirroring the angle of the factory (3) gauges on the top of the center dash piece.
still keep a clean factory look, with the ability of closing the pocket.
priced aound $100 maybe?
The more interest I get, the faster things get produced.

That would be good. But I would want to be sure I could see the gauge furthest to the left. Would it be obstructed by the left side of the cubby hole? Also, I am more interested in getting your intake manifold so start there. I'll get both.

here are a couple pics of a prototype of a 2 gauge cluster. Simple install, screws into factory holes, you can keep the facgtory pocket for later.
Thoughts? would be priced at around $60
in this format it wasn't possible to fit 3 gauges. We may do another version as well that replaces the entire cubby, door and all, that may have as many as 5 gauges.
Would there be a demand for a drivers side pillar pod? with 3 gauges? Not the cheap kind that screws into the factory pillar either, a completely new pillar with 3 gauges flushed in, factory mounting clips, etc.
Just let me know what you think of the ideas.
right now the gagues have a 15 degree angle towards the driver.

You've sold one to me as long as the bottom piece fits on there and it looks like stock. Also, where does it screw in? Also, when is the manifold going to be finished? I need one bad. And what size are those gauges in that two gauge setup?

The fatory pocket has 4 screws that hold it in from the sides (behind the housing) and this piece uses the same screws, very simple. Everything goes back together as factory.
This set up has (2) 2 1/16" gauges.
We are working on the manifold currently as well, so don't think we forgot.
