Valentine 1 Problem~ Please Help

Default Valentine 1 Problem~ Please Help

For some reason ive started to experiance a problem with my valentine 1 radar detector. When it starts up it will display a E and a constant 1 second beeps.... then I would turn it off then back on and it would work fine... untill I shut the car off again and the whole process starts again......................

Any one can help?? Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Sounds like fault code behavior. I'd check the Valentine website to see if they have a troubleshooting guide.

Yea.... I checked to web site and even called,.................... they didn't really explain much of anything honestly... Just said send it in and pay up basically..

I just wanted to know if any one else had this problem and wanted to know what their solution was~

I had a similar problem.. I would turn it on and it would work fine until about 1-5 minutes then would go to E. Called valentine and they said send it in and pay up like you said...

when you pay for somthing at this price.. you would at least expect it to run for a good while....

I know... I just read on their website that the "base" service fee is $45. If they decide your repair costs more they will let you know. I'm considering sending it in.

Yea Im seriously thinking about sending it in now....
I work about 30 mile away from home so im usually doing at least 85 mph average.... today I flew by a patrol car with out this thing even going off or anything......
I think there is something seriously wrong.....?

any ways... the cop didnt do anything... i just step off the gass and slowed down to normal traffic speed.

May want to go to radardetector.net and ask about this. I just got my valentine one about one month ago (new). I have not had any problems but these guys are pretty sharp on this website and may be able to help you..

The Valentine detects radar, not police cars.
