Default kenwood dnx7120 and ipod video problem

hello everyone.
having an issue with my dnx7120 and playing video off of my ipod video (5th gen i believe). the audio of the video plays but no video. video plays fine on the ipod itself, just doesn't broadcast it onto the dnx7120. it worked fine on my previous dnx7100. anyone with a dnx model have any similar problem and able to get it to work? i'm stumped.

I have the DNX7100 and it plays both video and sound with my itouch. I wish I could help out with the newer model.

Did you call Kenwood? They are pretty good with support for that stuff.

Are you using the Kenwood KCA-iP301V cable? If not, you probably won't get video. Also, did you ground the parking brake wire?

Ditto what Pike said. Kenwood's tech service is above average.

Try pressing the "album art" icon when you're in the main "playing" screen for the video.

Like mentioned, are you using the right connector? Is the VIDEO IN cable plugged into the proper input and not the rear-view camera input?

I am having the exact same problem with my CarPortal system. I know I shouldn't be watching movies while driving so I haven't put much effort into fixing it. Let us know how it goes with Kenwood's customer service.
