Default Problem with my Pioneer AVIC-F900bt navi

Ever since I got it installed the Pioneer logo is shown on the screen for about a minute as it is loading. I wasnt sure if that was normal or not but I just let it go didnt do anything about it. Iv had it for about 7 months and today as I turned on my car as the navi was starting up i noticed the brightness was low. I put the brightness on 10 and everything was fine. Next time I turned on the car i had to do the same thing again. Well the next time I turned the car on the Pioneer logo was on the screen like as usual. Instead of turning on and working like it should the screen just goes blank and wont let me do anything on it. Anyone have any idea whats wrong with it? Bad wiring? or is the navi just fried?

this is how it looks like if you dont recognize it by the name

when you turn the unit on hit menu a bunch of times during the pioneer start up screen...eventually it will let u get into the menu...you might have to do it a few times...when in menu look for rear view camera...make sure its turned off...

Upgrade firmware. It fixed my pioneer screen freezing issue with my z2 but that was also a known problem.

easiest, fastest way if you have an sd card. 512mb or larger

Download files from: http://ds1.downloadtech.net/cn1010/f...e_2.006000.zip

Follow directions here: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/ep...e%20Update.pdf

If you dont have an sd card, (dirt cheap now)

Go here for pioneer to send you one with the files already ready: http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/avicfirmware/
