Default Boston Acoustics Component speakers

Does anyone know about these or have them? I was planning to get a set that had 4 speakers. 1 Midwoofer and 3 tweeters. Are these any better than the stock speakers? (Not Bose). Also, will this setup work with my stock headunit? I havent opened my HU up to see what plugs are in the bag.

oh yea, does anyone know what the speaker sizes are as well?
Thanks!

Edit: One more question, will i need an amp for this type of setup?

I put components in the doors (BA) replacing the factory (Clarion) drivers and tweeters. Wicked Awsome is all I can say. The sound quality is lightyears ahead of the factory setup. I also have an alpine HU and a diamond amp driving it.

I have the BA Pros they are bad to the bone. From my understanding they require some wattage or they will go bad quick with the stock unit. I would recommend to at least get a amp to run them. regaurdless I love em.

The Boston Pros are 3 ohm speakers and need a solid 2 ohm stable amp. They sound great. I have 6.5 component in my doors and 6.0 mid bass drivers in the rear stock location for fill.

I have the BA RC series in the front and they rock! You will need a good amount of power to fuel any of these BA speakers. I personally use an Eclipse PA5222 for mine. It runs my
BAs in the front and a sub in the rear. You are looking at $200 and up for a quality amp.

That sounds about right for an amp, I am running a power series rockford amp for my fronts and rears and it seems to work good, although I do need to adjust it to get me some better midbass.
