Default 8" hidden sub enclosure

Would anyone be interested in me making some enclosures that fit were the foam is beside the spair on the drivers side. The enclosure would be completely hidden and hold a single 8" sub. This would by no means be for you bass heads. It would however give the low end kick that the 350z lacks even w/ the bose system. You would only need a small amp to power the sub that could be hidden behind the glove box. This would be great for the people that want stealth, and enjoy clean tunes. Im not going to bother w/ making the first one unless there is a demand for it. I would guess the cost would be between $100, and $150 unloaded. Let me know.

I'd buy one. How much volume do you estimate?

Both. The top would be 3/4" birch. The sides, and bottom would be fiberglass. We have a wire outside my store that runs off our amps on our sound board. So customers can listen to a sub, and amp combo in there car without having to have it installed in there car. So I stuck a punch HE8" in that corner, and ran it off of a 120watt memphis amp. It sounded better than I thought it would. Keep in mine I was sitting still so no road noise to compete against. I want really know what its going to sound like till I build the first one.

I'd definitely get one if it sounded good. I'm not looking for mega bass, so an 8" would be perfect. Let me know.

Encore,

How long before you start making or selling them? I am in the market for a sound system and need a good box soon.

I'm very interested.

Would a standard mesh grille do justice to protect the sub against anything on top of it? (I asssume the 8" sub would fire up against the glass) Does anyone see the rear trunk mat covering the sub being an issue? Also, what attachment methods to the car are you thinking of?

I thought I had already posted this, but its not showing so let me try again. Im finishing my stores 944 demo vehicle. It must be done by my towns thanksgiving parade. So all my attention is going to that for now. Im also closing on my new house on Dec. 1 so Ive got my hands full for now. The grill will be part of the enclosure, and the enclosure will be attached by a bracket, and or velcro. No screw holes will be needed. As soon as I get a chance Ill build the first one. If it sounds good Ill make a mold. After that Ill be able to make them quickly. My plan is to paint the top of the enclosure to match the strut brace cover, and have a mesh grill covered in black grill cloth. Even though the sub want be visible without lifting the trunk mat I still want it to look as good as it sounds. Sorry I cant give a date when it will be ready, but I dont want to make false promises. Thanks!
