Hi~

Would anyone like to tell me that wut happens if the sub box can not provide enough air space?? I got two 10' audiobahn sub in a small custom box to fit below the strut bar. there r some guys told me that i need a bigger box to make the sound of sub to come out...... they said my subs do not punch like there r two 10'

............. IS THAT TRUE?? do i need a bigger box??

by the way, is it important to get an amp for my front speakers??
do i "HAVE TO" get one?

 

1st, what are the specs of the subs you have? What is the box requirement?

Is your box ported, sealed, ect?

You have to make your box to the subs specifications.

How big is your box? Cubic feet wise?

Also is your box fiberglassed? If it is not, the box could more than likely be 2 small for that location. I could only put (1) 10 behind the strut bar, if I wanted (2) I had to fiberglass. I tossed it and did the fiberglass in the tire well.

The amp ?, is up to you, I would recommend it though. GL

Also what are you powering the subs with? Expand a little more....

 

U will not get full excursion of the subs .. it will not hit as hard or play as low.. it would be good to have an amp for the fronts.. you will notice a difference for sure.. but no you dont HAVE to.

 

Polyfill sometimes works wonders. It cools the air inside the box, and makes the sub think its in a bigger box than it is. Also more power will make a sub work better in a small box.
