what do you guys think about me running a 500/1 and a 300/4 with 1 farad cap installed in the stock blows sub compartment? will it overheat? it will be pushing 2 jl w3v2 10's and the 300/4 will be running a set of polk db components in the front bridged into 2 channel mode. i am just worried that i will be overheating easily. anyone with experiance?

it has been done many times. Please lay off with the cap, put that money towards upgrading your electrical.

 

yea ive been readin about the caps not doing much if anything. some say they are actually detrimental to your system, but what else do you suggest as far as upgrading the electrical system? thanks again

 

This is mine and it runs cool, right now working on doing plexi glass window like CDOXP800.
I was told to do 1-farad for every 500 watts. I run 1/0 AWG from the battery (yellow top) to the cap, now technically I need a better cap. Since both my AMP's have a regulated Power supplies its even more of a waste. Since I had the damn thing laying around I installed it anyways (doesn't hurt the system).
