Default Nav problem in new Roadster

Has anyone experienced a problem with the Navigiation system where the screen just goes blank? A friend of mine was driving his 5 day old Roadster and the Nav just went blank. He closed the door and then reopened it and it did not come back on. He repeated that process and then it came back on.

Sounds to me like a loose connection. i.e. the wires connecting the nav. sys. to power and such are loose.

I have a nav in an '03 Z which does not have the automatic door closer, but I know that opening the door on the nav screen completes a circuit to turn on the nav.

If the '04 nav comes on the same way (when the nav door is opened) it may be something as simple as an adjustment on the switch that the door hits when the nav door is opened. If it happens again, have your friend wiggle the open nav door and see if it comes back on.

If this is the case however, the nav system would boot up from the beginning of the sequence and you would have to go through the "I agree" process to start up the nav program.

This is my new Z with the problem.....I just talked to the service guy at my dealer and they said a guy brought a new Armada in with the same problem, and it was loose connections. I'm taking the Z in tomorrow to see if it is the same problem and get it fixed.

Not a loose connection, with the 2004 there is an automatic cover for the Nav system. The problem is in the cover, they are going to replace it next week.
