Should I Even Try?
i'm currently throwin around the idea of upgradin some audio equipment, but i'm havin some concerns. the biggest one is the worry that i might not b able to handle diy'n it. at this point i'm not replacin the head unit or addin any amp/sub, just doin the highs/mids. replacin them means runnin speaker wire, right, or does it hook into factory runs? the component set i'm lookin at also has crossovers, so i'm not too familar with those either. should i try it or take it to a shop? thanks.

you get get the wire colors off the forum if you need them and the crossovers should come with directions. i say take off one of your door panels and check it out. if you think you can do it then you'll save the money for install otherwise you'll know how much you'll be spending (speakers + install). Generally shops charge about 65-80 bux to install components in two doors. I know i charge 70 in my shop. good luck.
