Default kenwood dnx7100

I bought a used DNX7100, I tried to install it but I couldn't get the thing in perfectly, I have 1/4 in sticking out? How do I get it to fit perfectly? I tried searching but I couldn't find any instructions.
Thanks

Have a professional install it?

But also remember that with a Double Din head unit with a motorized screen, it may require that 1/4 inch space to operate correctly. If you make it flush it may not open and close correctly.

I have a Clarion VX409 and I wanted it flush also, but that little bit that sticks out allows for my screen to fold out.

You would have to modify your mounting brackets. Modify the bracket holes so that the HU sits 1/4" further back in the bracket. I did this to my dnx8120.

There's a DIY on this man. Look in the DIY section. You have to make some holes in the mounting kit bigger to allow the unit to slide further back.
