Default 2 12's fiberglass box

Made this box for my wifes 350z. First box I ever built even though I have been installing car stereo for 10 years I had a blast making the box and found it odd there are no dual 12 boxes made for the Z. The box is pretty small but it really doesnt sound bad at all.

The Z is in plexiglass with blue leds in the box. Both amps are mounted in the factory sub cavity. Alpine Type R's front and rear with a Pioneer f700bt headunit.

Here is a few of my G35

Currently it has 2 Kicker 10s in an ebay box that I am going to end up redoing for 2 12s, Alpine Type R's all around, an AudioControl 3.1, and Pioneer f900bt.

Nice work but even though its a sealed enclosure there is a maze of obstacles inside that box. imo a strut bar design box doesnt offer enough air space for 2 12's. How does it sound ?

Whoa, great work. Is there enough cu ft of air to sound decent though?

Whats funny is there probably isnt enough airspace for 1 of those subs let alone 2 but it really sounds great. I think its partially due to the subs being 8 years or so old and well broken in. I had 2 kicker cvr 10's in a ebay box and it didnt sound anywhere as good. I pretty much just wanted to prove to myself that I could do it and wondered if there was a reason there were not any understrut dual 12 boxes.

It looks like its about 1.3 cubic feet which can be enough for two 12's - barely. I am sure it doesn't play down to 20 hertz all that well but it'll be tight and probably sounds pretty decent with rock or pop music. I would also suggest maybe stuffing a little fibrefil or polyester fill in the enclosure to make the subs 'think' that they are in a larger box.

Your probably pretty close. I pretty much started by copying a ebay box that I got cheap for my g35 and those are around .75cu feet. The glass work doesnt really add a whole lot of airspace overall and the subs eat up alot of it. Its probably closer to 1 total. Way small for those subs but since the car is so small nyway I have yet to really crank it and see what it does. I thought about the polyfil but i think the difference would be minimal and my wife is happy as is lol.
