Best way to mount an AMP to the sub enclosure???
Sorry about all these questions...but I need to mount my amplifier to the back of my subwoofer box...the box is for a 10 inch sub using 3/4 inch MDF...how should I mount the amp to the box with minimal potential damage to the amp in the future...i do understand this is bad for the internal components of the amp...but I do not have a better option...and i am looking for the best way to absorb the vibrations...
i was thinking about screwing in two wooden strips in a vertical layout (about 2 inches wide horizontally and maybe 10 inches vertically) on each side on the back of the box and then mounting the amp to the wooden strips...
what materials should / could I use to absorb some of the vibrations between the box to the wooden strips to the amp...
or is there a better way...without building a separate amp rack as I do not have the space for it and the amp is too large to fit in the glove dept or under the seat...

Im giving you the best adivce possible..
you are thinking WAY too far into it. By leaps and bounds.
Ive been there.. i was a tweaker stereo guy.....and in the end, it was years of wasted toil over tedious things that in the end make no difference what so ever.
Use wood screws, screw it to your box. DONE.
If your amp is hot enuff where vibrations would cause problems, that means the solders are melting and you are already on fire somewhere in your vehicle, engulfed in flames and becomming crispy. Your friends and family will sadly miss you. IE, will never happen, dont sweat it.
Just make sure its face of the heatsinks is pointed generally up and the heat will not rise up on itself, but agian, its a hatch back man, its not like its 158 degrees in the closed trucnk of your civic in the desert.
Seriously tho..
I promise, swear to god, youre making it waaaaaaaaaaaaay to diifficult on yourself.
In fact this is the only time i will ever reccomend to anyone that they spend less time working on their car and more time stuck to a couch playing COD until they wake up the next day in the same spot covered in a spilled beer. Just giving you a hard time.. you deserve it, jus a little.

No offense meant here, but after answering a number of your questions and reading several more I have to wonder, in all seriousness. Are you a tweaker? Honestly, lol.
You sound like my friend doing an install for probably a week straight on some kind of upper, I go over there and he's only got like the power line installed but he says it's routed perfectly. LOL.

^^ ... lol ... im not sure what a tweaker is...i do think i am a bit of a perfectionist though...i kinda feel like if its not ABSOLUTELY right...it will sound like crap / fall apart / etc...even though im sure I will be fine...i tend to over-think...im working on it...
why not take the time and build a proper amp rack? for peace of mind alone, it is well worth it. Put it in the "stock sub" location. Some creative bracketry and some nice 1/2" plywood is pretty much all you need.
