help on removing alpine dd with nav
hey all,
I am selling my car so I need to remove my alpine dd with navigation.
I have done installs and removal on single dins but no experience with dd navigation, so i had it installed at the shop.
For me to remove it, is it pretty much remove the aftermarket harness, unit, then plug in the oem hu?
I'm planning to use it for my next car and don't want to leave out something in the car, so can anyone tell me if there is any important procedure in removing a dd with navigation?
Any help is appreciated!

If you have done a single din install in the Z you can do a double din.
If you didn't do any head unit installs in the Z, go to the DIY forum.
It's pretty easy to get the head unit out of a Z. And yes, unplug the harness connected to the factory harness and then plug the factory harness into your stock radio.

its a simple procedure (pop the shifter trim and only 4 or 6 screws if i remember correctly) but it is a pain in the ***. there is a little white box below the head unit that can give you a hard time. you may need to do a little more then just unplug the harness when you are dealing with a navigation unit. you may have to make a couple of snips as well. a reverse lead and parking brake sensor switch lead come to mind, as well as tracing back and removing the gps antenna...
