Default Anyone Experience Dash Rattle after Removing it?

Like the title says. I am thinking about installing an in-car PC, but am worried about Dash rattles if I remove the center area where the factory NAV is. I will also have to remove the whole center console and the area around the glovebox.

Plz post if you have rattles or not, only if you have actually taken it apart and put it back together. Are the clips metal or platic? Do they break easily?

Thanks.

I have a pretty bad rattle in the join between the panel around the glovebox and the one that covers the rear speakers. It didn't appear until I installed my sub. My center console does not rattle at all. As long as you're careful and don't break any of those stupid little plastic clips, you should not have rattles. Mine only does because of the supreme bass glory of the 10W7. This will be fixed as soon as I can ward off the throes of laziness.

I just installed the XMCommander in the spot where the Nav system goes. I had to remove it twice to get it just right, but I have not had any problems whatsoever. There are at least 6 screws that keep it in place.

Checkout this link to get stop by step removal instructions. I used it and it helped a ton. I found it through another post.

I have a rattle, but I think it's from my FM modulator, which is not solidly mounted behind the console.

When you see how solidly the center console is installed, you'll realize that there aren't too many problems with rattles. It's really well put together, you should have no problems.

I've had my dash and interior apart about 4 times now and I have zero rattles. I have just one minor vibration left in the back (that I'll fix when I put my stereo back in) that happens only under severly hard bass hits. I've also got about 9 sheets of dynamat in my Z as well to kill vibrations.
