Default Pioneer 3200 HU Upgrade Questions for 08 Bose/Nav

I am hooking up my wiring harness for my Pioneer 3200BT HU. I have aftermarket amps and speakers already that were hooked up to the stock HU but now I want to have IPod capability and bluetooth for my IPhone.

Couple questions:
1. On the wiring harness that comes from Crutchfield (with the Bose RCA Plugs) there is a black amp ground wire. Can I hook this up to the ground wire comes directly out of the Pioneer HU and then ground both of them together or do I need separate grounds for both?

2. On the wiring harness there an amp power on and an antenna power on (one is located on each harness that comes with the Crutchfield kit). Since I have an aftermarket amp, do I just hook up the amp power on to the system control line of the 3200BT? Or do I hook up antenna and amp to this same line? The 3200BT manual says that the system control line can be used for amp power on or antenna power on.

3. Now that I am going to an aftermarket HU, my stock navigation wont work. Is that correct or does the navi stilll work I just wont have volume? If it doesnt turn on or work altogether, does anyone have a link or diagram on power and other signals that are necessary to turn on the Navigation ssytem. For volume, I read about using a single external speaker wired to the output of the navi unit and then using a transistor and 12V relay configuration to drive it. Any one have any recommendations for speakers. I think that the one that I originally read about is discontinued. I will then hook up the mute signal to my 3200BT HU so that when the Nav unit is speaking, the audio on the HU will be muted.

I will hopefully be working on the actual install this weekend when I get my car back from the shop. First thing I will do is put back in my stereo equipment with stock HU to make sure that it is all works as expected. Once that is confirmed, I will continue to remove the stock HU and put in my 3200BT. Looking forward to this project. Its my first sound system install in a couple years.

Thanks!

All the grounds can be hooked together...just make sure the grounding point is a good solid one. I used the ground just behind the three guage cluster above the radio. The blue power wires should be hooked together as well to turn on borh the amp and the antenna amp.

Awesome! Thanks for the help. Looks like I will be making a change to my wiring harness today after work for the blue wires.
