tints and radar detectors
I have solargard tint... which supposedly has metal specks in it. My question is - will this tint affect my radar detector performance? The front windshield is not tinted, just the sides and rear.

You won't have a problem with forward-facing radar, but you'll have degraded performance from the rear. How much is not easy to say without testing, so it may turn out to be a moot issue.
