Default Help: Centre Console with Nav, HOW TO REMOVE IT ???

Hi All,

After a lot of sweats and scratches to the dash, I didnt manage to remove the OEM deck.

I just found this pdf file below, it shown that I have to "snap" off the control switches from the OEM nav.

Anyone got an "actual picture of this process?

I tried searching with no luck, most of the how-to are for those without the Nav

http://www.installer.com/pdf/99-7602.pdf

Thanks in advance

The nav button section is held to the console by clips on the ends, so it literally is a case of grabbing hold of it and "snapping" it out. See if you can grab into the slight gap between buttons and screen and pull towards you.

Default remove nav botton pannel

the nav botton panel doen NOT just snap out! you have to remove the cover up by the nav screen. it's a little rubber cover that has two bolts under it that holds the panel down. after they are removed than you can get to the two blots that hold the radio.

My nav control panel totally just pulls out and snaps back in, non-nav has rubber covers with holes.

+1... I have removed the dash several times, the nav controls pull right out. You have to pull them up to get them out.

if you have a 06 or older the nav just snaps out, the 07 and newer nav system has the rubber cover over the two bolts. i have an 07 and i just replaced the stock bose system with a pioneer ft-p8000bt, it keeps the stock look. i've seen pic's of people that put the touch screen in and i thought it looked tacky. well hope this helps
