Default Getting a Kicker 10" L3, I have a question about it

Alright, I just put in my order for a 10" Kicker L3, one of the square ones, it was a good deal, Bestbuy is selling it for $98. Well, my question is, where should I put it? I have 2 locations, either in the spare tire location, or under the pillar, but where have you guys found that the sub sounds best? I already have made the plans for both enclosures, just need to figure out which one I am going to use. I will be making a sealed enclosure for it, and putting the amp in the factory sub location cubby whole. Thank you guys in advance for any replies

can you take a pic of your custom box over the back windows? sounds nice. I have mine under strut bar. id be willing to sell it for 100 seeing as i want a new box that holds 2.

Any thought of putting in the stock location? The ideal spot would be the under strut tower facing the back. I've got an 8" L5 in my truck and the two things about these square subs I've noticed: they need plenty of power and prefer ported enclosures. More of an SPL sub with peaky response, but if tuned right (good box) they can perform well.

I have tried putting a sub into the factory sub location in 3 different Z's (I am an "apprentice" at bestbuy to be an installer) all 3 times we tried different ways of putting it in there, it rattles really really bad. especially with a sub that is more powerful than the factory subs. but i have decided to make a custom box under the strut tower. will post pics and build thread once i start
