Default Scratched HU Solutions?

I had my headunit out of the car and I put a huge scratch in the front display area where the song name/date/time are displayed. It is an Eclipse Head unit, any ideas of how to fix a scratch.

Its a long shot, but back when I worked as an audio installer (9 years ago), we used to use some 3M plastic polish/scratch remover . . . not sure if its still available, but it did wonders on "minor" scratches
