Default Kenwood double din HU install question

I recently purchased a kenwood double din headunit. I also bought a wiring harness, an antenna adapter and the in dash kit from Metra. I have an 04 touring with bose. And i have heard some people say you need to have the PAC-ROEM NIS2 adapter so your new headunit will work well with the bose amp. anyone here not use this adapter and the system work fine? Just looking for a clear cut answer. I asked the installer from BestBuy and he said i should be fine without and that the wiring harness i purchased is updated/should be enough for the system to work without causing problems.

I'm in the same boat.. The metra harness I bought works but the volume needs to be 3/4 or more to even be enjoyable.. I would go with the PAC ROEMNIS2.

Dont listen to best buy they are not the best place to get info from. Go to a local car audio shop they normally are better.

The PAC is wired to the head unit. You don't need the metra if you have it. Its one or the other.

But its common from what ive read to have low volume output with metra. I've seen at least 10 other threads of my issue and it deals with the rca cables on the harness it takes away sound in someway.

I might just deal with it because I don't want to take apart my dash again and rewire everything. Sigh
