Hey guys I installed my pioneer double din and in the process ripped the white ribbon coming from this part http://www.slidegood.com/08-nissan-3...-amp-unit.html (I know I am an idiot, dont drink and work on wiring). Anyway I was wondering if I get a used one if it has to be programmed to match the vin of my car or its just plug and play. Or if anyone knows how to disable the fan from blowing on full blast in the meantime that would be great haha

as far as i know there should be no programming needed for that. The ribbon cable just transfers the signal from the control unit to the motor unit. Should be all set boss. Sucks that you ripped it and def lay off the drinkin next time youre taking things apart lol

If you're talking about the white controller box that sits behind your gear lever, then you should be able to just get a new unit and be good to go. From a dealership, they go for about $1200. You should be able to do better at a junkyard. Try to get one that matches the year of your vehicle.
